Ayo Adebanjo, a chieftain of the Yoruba socio-political association, Afenifere, has proclaimed that President Muhammadu Buhari is quietly driving Nigeria to war.

Adebanjo clarified that Buhari was driving Nigeria into war through his domineering propensities and refusal to rebuild Nigeria.

Talking on Arise Television's Morning Show, he said Buhari was resolved to administer Nigeria with power and that such activity doesn't advance harmony.

As per Adebanjo: "What prompted the war? The tumult of the Igbos was that they were being avoided from the administration of the day; the subtleties are known. What actions is he taking to eradicate the impression?

"He is compounding the situation; the fomentation at that point was 'let us have a legislature where everybody will take an interest'.
