Saved by the Bell star Dustin Diamond, who played Screech in the popular teen series, has completed his first round of chemotherapy for his stage 4 lung cancer. Roger Paul, a representative for the actor shared the update last night a week after his Diamond's manager revealed the 44-year-old's cancer diagnosis, with the actor now expected to begin physical therapy soon. Paul also disclosed that further tests revealed that the actor has stage 4 small cell carcinoma, a form of lung cancer that started elsewhere in his body and then spread in his lungs. "Dustin is looking forward to spending more time with his girlfriend, playing his bass guitar/video games, as well as making videos for his fans on social media," Paul added. Diamond, who starred in the series Saved by the Bell from 1989 through 1993, reprised his role as Screech in the franchise’s two spinoffs: Saved by the Bell: The College Years and Saved by the Bell: The New Class.
