Everton boss Ancelotti has told his players to beat the Richarlison curse as they prepare to take on Newcastle.
Remarkably, since the Brazilian’s arrival, the Toffees have failed to win a single match where he has been absent.
The miserable run continued last weekend when the Premier League table-toppers lost their first match of the season.
Southampton inflicted a 2-0 defeat on Ancelotti’s men after goals from Danny Ings and Che Adams, while Lucas Digne was also sent off at St. Mary’s.
And they travel from the south coast to the very north to take on Newcastle at St. James’ Park fearing the worst with Richarlison missing through suspension following his red card against Liverpool in the Merseyside derby.
But Ancelotti has told his Everton stars to flourish despite the absence of their talismanic forward.
He said: “I know this statistic on Richardson, and I can say to two things.
“That yes, he is a really important player for us, and the club, and second it is time to win to break this statistic,” he said.
Another player that will be missing is James Rodriguez, who has hit the ground running at Goodison Park this campaign and is already a fan favourite.

It leaves the Toffees a tad light at the top of the pitch, making the decision to send Moise Kean out on loan a questionable one.
The ex-Juventus star has been rattling in goals for Paris St-Germain, scoring late on twice in the Champions League to give his new team the win over Istanbul Basaksehir.
