Super Eagles poster-boy Alex Iwobi has been applauded by club boss Carlo Ancelotti following Everton’s 5-2 win over Fleetwood Town on Wednesday evening.
The Nigeria international was one of his side’s top performers as the Blues cruised into the fourth round of the League Cup and booked themselves a home tie against West Ham in the next stage.

Iwobi earned his first start of the season in the win over Fleetwood and capped a fine display with a goal in the second half to make the game 3-1 at the time.
Other goalscoers on the night includes a brace from Richarlison, Bernard and Moise Kean that seal the victory for Ancelotti’s side.
A performance that left the Italian tactician impressed with the display of the Nigeria international.
“It was really good, he scored a goal and this was important also,” the boss noted.

“But he had a good performance, good combination in front with Jonjoe on the right side of the pitch. I am satisfied.
“He’s come back from an injury but he seems fit and in a good condition,” the former Chelsea manager sounded-off.
