Ondo State Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi who has been having rounds of faceoff with his boss Governor Rotimi Akeredolu has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of mobilising thugs to attack his campaign office in Akure. In a statement released by the Director-General of his campaign organisation, Kola Ademujimi and a security personnel attached to his campaign secretariat, Mr. Gbenga Adeyoriju, the APC was accused of being out to cause mayhem before the October 10 governorship election. Adeyoriju alleged that five thugs came at night in an APC branded vehicle, shot into the air and destroyed the billboard and other valuables on the premises. He further stated that the thugs used the butt of their guns to destroy the billboard in front of the campaign office and threatened to kill him and his colleague if they made any attempt to stop them. Ademujimi who also alleged that the APC thugs attacked ZLP members at Idanre during the governor’s campaign in the area on Tuesday September 22, said the attacks on campaign offices of opposition candidates were becoming worrisome. Ademujimi said; “Akeredolu ‘s thugs are threatening the lives and property of members of ZLP and those of other parties in parts of the state.“They destroyed chairs, tables and inflicted injuries on our supporters at their ward meeting in Ile-Oluji yesterday.“They also destroyed Ajayi’s billboards at our campaign office in Akure. They destroyed our flags and posters at Idanre during Akeredolu’s/APC ‘s campaign tour of Idanre yesterday.“They attacked leaders of another party during their local government meeting in Owo yesterday. I think they are out to cause mayhem even before the October 10 governorship election.”The post Ondo deputy governor, Ajayi accuses APC of attacking campaign office appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
